Dale Marie Meloni, 73, of Ocean City, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 21st, 2025.
Dale was born on November 21st, 1951, in Camden, New Jersey. She was raised in Haddon Township, New Jersey and spent 45 years of her life in Audubon, New Jersey. She eventually retired to her “happy place,” Ocean City, New Jersey, where she loved to spend many of her summers prior to retirement.
Dale was predeceased by her parents: Dorothy (nee Thompson) and Theodore Haines.
Dale’s family was her absolute pride and joy. She is survived by her husband Salvador Meloni, their four children, Nicholas Meloni (Lindsey), Vincent Meloni (Ashley), Michael Meloni (Jenna), and Gina Schallus (Anthony) and ten grandchildren, whom she loved and adored. Dale is also survived by her sister, Laurie Haines (Mike Gallo).
Dale was very artistic. She worked temporarily for a Real Estate company painting pictures of homes for new homeowners. After spending some quality time raising her children, Dale spent many years working as the Co-Director for Audubon Community Education before retiring.
Dale could often be found doing her crossword puzzles while enjoying a cup of coffee. She was a phenomenal cook and baker. Her entire family looked forward to her delicious desserts, especially her sugar cookies, which no one can replicate. Dale also loved gardening and reading books on her front porch in Ocean City. She owned and loved many pets over the years; most recently her dog, Roscoe, who followed her everywhere.
She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
A celebration of life will be held for immediate family only.
