Joseph N. Cusato, 89

Joseph N. Cusato, 89, of Ocean City, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Shore Medical Center, Somers Point, NJ.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa to the late Joseph and Mae (nee Adams) Cusato.

He had lived in Woodlynne, Camden County and Cherry Hill, NJ before retiring to his dream home in Ocean City, NJ. Joe served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War. He graduated from Collingswood High School, class of 1953 and Rutgers University in 1960.

Joe worked as a Claims Manager for CIGNA for many years before his retirement in 1985. After his retirement he was the Owner/Operator of Frieda and Fred’s Garden Center in Berlin and most recently was a handy man in Ocean City, NJ.

Joe and the love of his life, Gerri, enjoyed traveling and spoiling his children and grandchildren.

He was a diehard Eagles fan – GO BIRDS!!

In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his sister, Doris, son in law, Frank Sessa and beloved grandson, Joey.

Joe is lovingly survived by his wife, Gerri (nee Bosco) Cusato, his children, Steven Cusato, Brian (Melissa) Cusato and Jennifer Sessa, grandchildren, Bella, Dominic, Jack, Samantha.

Burial Office and Requiem Eucharist will be offered Friday, January 24, 2025 at 11 o’clock at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 30th Street at Bay Avenue, Ocean City, NJ where friends may call from 10 o’clock until time of service. Burial will be private. 

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Tunnels to Towers Foundation at t2t.org
