George Walloff, age 87

George Walloff, age 87, of Egg Harbor Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his adoring wife of 50 years and loving children on January 2, 2025.

Born in New York City, George spent his childhood years on a farm in Pomona, NJ. Once married he was a resident of Ocean City, NJ for 47 years before retiring in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. George was a graduate of Egg Harbor Township High School and served his country in the Air National Guard of NJ and the Reserve of the US Airforce as an electrician until the completion of his duties in 1966. Mr. Walloff took over his father’s business, Walloff Painting, where he served the OCNJ community for over 50 years. George was an avid lover of antique cars. His pride and joy were his two 1953 Corvettes: the #19 and #22 models ever produced, which he restored on his own and showcased at many car shows throughout the country, winning numerous awards. He became very well known, respected and liked throughout the tightknit Classic Car community. George enjoyed tennis, history, NASCAR, boxing and was an animal lover. As his family expanded to include his grandkids, his passion shifted to spoiling his grandchildren. He touched countless lives with his generosity and good nature and will be sorely missed.

Surviving are his wife Olga Walloff of Egg Harbor Township, their two children, George Walloff (Alyssa) of Furlong, PA, Jennifer Napoli (Chris) of Chalfont, PA, and three grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, and Ava. The viewing for George will be held at the George H. Wimberg Funeral Home at 1707 New Road, Linwood, NJ from 9:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 11, 2025 with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in George’s name may be made to the Humane Society of OCNJ. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
