Dorothy A. Brandon

Dorothy “Dottie” Brandon of Tampa, FL died peacefully in her sleep on December 21st, 2024. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was raised and spent many years in Ocean City, NJ. She was a 1950 graduate of Ocean City High School and later the Atlantic County Vocational School Nursing program. She retired from the State of New Jersey as a teacher’s assistant for developmentally challenged children. She had a positive impact on the many children she cared for and was loved by them and their families for her caring and compassionate nature. 

She was predeceased by her loving husband Sam Sr., and her sister Ruth Class. She is survived by her children Sam (Sue ) of Oldsmar, FL, Dennis (Sue) of Weeki Wachee, FL, and Sue of Tampa, FL. She is also survived by her grandsons Jimmy and Mark Brandon, John Deem II, as well as her great-grandsons Hunter and Maddox Brandon, and Clint and Zachary Deem, and her sister Peggy Merrill. 

Her best times were spent with her family, beach combing with her metal detector, and long walks on the boardwalk. 

Dottie had style and radiated inner and outer beauty that left a lasting impression. She will be missed dearly by her family and all who knew her.
