OCTC Broadway on Boardwalk is tonight

OCEAN CITY – The Greater Ocean City Theatre Company’s Broadway on the O.C. Boardwalk is 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, featuring Morgan Kirner (“Merrily We Roll Along”) and Angel Sigala (“New York, New York”), who recently made their Broadway debut are headlining this year’s performance.

 Experience the magic of Broadway right on the Ocean City Boardwalk as OCTC brings back two former performers who have made their mark on Broadway. 

All tickets range from $22 to $25. Purchase at oceancitytheatrecompany.com or at the Music Pier starting 45 minutes prior to the curtain.

Kirner is currently in the Tony Award-winning show “Merrily We Roll Along” on Broadway (Swing/Dance Captain). She graduated from Absegami High School and got her start with the OCTC and Surflight Theater in Beach Haven. She attended the Boston Conservatory, earning her bachelor of fine arts in musical theater. Morgan worked regionally at the Paper Mill Playhouse, PCLO, Kansas City Starlight, and others. Morgan toured the country as “Ermengarde” in the first national tour of “Hello, Dolly!” starring Betty Buckley.

Sigala made his Broadway debut by originating the role of Mateo Díaz in the Tony-nominated musical “New York, New York,” directed by Susan Stroman, with music by John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Lin-Manuel Miranda. He is featured in the original Broadway cast recording and was a featured performer at the 76th Annual Tony Awards.  A performing artist born and raised in México and the suburbs of Philadelphia. Angel, a proud Dreamer (DACA recipient), is delighted to be back in Ocean Cit with OCTC. In 2016, he got his first professional gig with OCTC playing Chino in “West Side Story.” They also returned to OCTC three more times as Paul in “A Chorus Line,” Pepper in “Mamma Mia!,” and Spot Conlon in “Newsies.”

He is a graduate of the musical theatre program at Temple University in Philadelphia. He also performed in the return of “¡Viva! Broadway” at Curtain Up! Live at Duffy Square, which was broadcast across New York.
