Ocean City Council Candidate Forum at OCHS April 29

OCEAN CITY – The Ocean City Sentinel is hosting a Candidate Forum from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the Hughes Performing Arts Center at Ocean City High School.

All nine candidates running for the four ward seats and the remaining term of an at-large position have agreed to participate. They include incumbent Terry Crowley Jr., who is unopposed in Ward 1; Keith Hartzell and Paul Stryker in Ward 2; incumbent Jody Levchuk and challenger Amie Vaules in Ward 3; incumbent Dave Winslow and challenger Cecelia Gallelli-Keyes in Ward 4; and Sean Barnes and Michael DeVlieger seeking the at-large position.

All candidates will give opening and closing statements and will answer questions posed by moderator David Nahan, editor of the Ocean City Sentinel. Nahan will be using questions submitted by citizens. Audience members will not be allowed to pose questions to the candidates at the forum.

The event will be live-streamed on Facebook Live on the Ocean City Sentinel Facebook page.

The election for the five seats is May 14 in Ocean City. Only the residents of a ward can vote for their ward representative, but all voters can mark their ballots for the at-large position. An ad about wards is inside this week’s edition of the Sentinel.
