Colony Club inducts new members

OCEAN CITY – The Colony Club of Ocean City welcomed four new members at its recent monthly meeting at the Community Center of Ocean City.

Members were also updated on the club’s activities and programs. Cathi Ferber is chairman of the major fundraiser, a Fashion Show Dinner on June 11 at Greate Bay County Club in Somers Point. Fashions will be shown from two local shops, She’z the Boss and Pete’s Mercantile. Other features at the event include raffle baskets, a fifty-fifty, door prizes and a lottery hat raffle. Tickets at $55 are available by calling (609) 462-0597. All proceeds support the club’s scholarship program. 

Other club activities include attending the southern regional Performing Arts Day at the Millville Woman’s Club clubhouse on March 27; participation and hosting of the regional Achievement Day on April 24 at Greate Bay Country Club; cleaning the 16th Street Ocean City beach on April 13; distributing Easter eggs to residents and employees of The Shores in Ocean City; and a fundraiser at Randazzo’s restaurant in Ocean City on April 10. Dine-in, takeout or delivery are available from 4 to 8 p.m. Also planned is a tour of Reed’s Farm, an organic farm and animal sanctuary in Egg Harbor Township, on May 3.

The Colony Club of Ocean City is a volunteer, non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to developing and supporting programs to improve the community. It is a member of the N.J. State Federation of Women’s Clubs. More information is available at colonyclubocnj.com.
