Luxury living with view of ocean steps off beach on prestigious Goldcoast

OCEAN CITY — Discover beachfront living at its finest at the first-floor condominium at 3204 Wesley Ave. Unit 1, on the island’s popular Goldcoast.

The neighborhood, so named for its dune-protected beachfront homes and sweeping views, is centrally located between the Northend starting at North Street and the Southend ending at 59th Street.

Just a couple of blocks from the southern end of the boardwalk, the home boasts five bedrooms, four bathrooms and a powder room, as well as an open great room with a spacious sitting area, gourmet kitchen and cozy dining nook.

The luxuries are not limited to the inside, though, as there is a new paver walkway and patio and covered wrap-around porch.

“Relax on the new wrap-around porch and paver patio before heading to the beach using your own private entrance,” listing agent Lisa Schatz said.

Wesley Avenue is little more than an alley at this part of the island, so traffic is limited to neighbors waving as they roll slowly by.

The home has two parking spaces on the concrete pad and a one-car attached garage, so storing vehicles is never a problem.

Down the right side, the paver path leads to the main entrance, where a wood door with dentil molding opens into a foyer with bamboo flooring that covers every inch of the home excluding the baths.

Five steps up is a landing offering an amazing view of the beach just outside the sliding glass door that opens onto the back porch.

The large, open space includes a sitting area that takes up the right half of the room, the kitchen and dining nook.

A large sectional sofa and two arm chairs are arranged around a handsome electric fireplace, offering ambiance with or without heat. Painted pine planks surround the fireplace, with is beneath large flat-screen television.

There also is a wet bar alongside the coat closet featuring glass cabinet doors, a wine rack, ice machine and wine refrigerator.

Just steps away, the kitchen features white 21st Century cabinets with soft-close, self-close doors and drawers and quartz countertops. An island provides overflow seating and an under-counter GE Cafe series microwave.

Other appliances include a two-door refrigerator with freezer drawer, six-burner gas range with a hood and a dishwasher.

“This beautiful first-floor home has been completely renovated featuring tasteful finishes to embellish your decorating choices,” Schatz said. “Quality Everything Construction did an amazing job with impeccable attention to detail to showcase the beauty this house has to offer.”

Jutting out toward the ocean like a jetty, the dining area has windows on three sides offering a view of the rising sun each day. A long wood table that seats eight to 10 rests beneath a modern chandelier.

A long hallway leads back to the bedrooms — two children’s room, a primary suite and two junior suites — as well as the powder room, hall bath and laundry closet.

Two bedrooms on the left are set up for children, one with twin beds and the other with twin bunks. The full bathroom across the hall includes a quartz-topped vanity with dual sinks, a fiberglass tub/shower with tiled walls and a curtain, making bath time easy for the little ones.

The primary bedroom suite on the right features a king-size bed and custom tile walk-in shower with a two-sink vanity sink.

Two junior suites, each with a private bath featuring a tiled shower and quartz-topped vanity, are at the end of the hall.

The property was upgraded in June and now features new plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems.

Ocean City is one of the most popular shore resorts on the East Coast, featuring a 2.5-mile-long oceanfront boardwalk filled with hundreds of shopping, dining and entertainment venues, as well as miles and miles of pristine beaches. There also is an award-winning downtown business district centered on Asbury Avenue and a watersports district around Third Street on Bay Avenue.

Schatz said the seller is offering a $50,000 buyer assist with an acceptable offer and settlement by Dec. 31.

The property is listed for $2,999,995 with Lisa Schatz of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, Fox & Roach Realtors. Call (610) 733-7227 or email lisa.schatz@foxroach.com for more information or to set up an appointment to see this wonderful home.
