Although there were only 63 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Atlantic County Monday, there were nearly triple that number on Saturday with 170 cases.
There have been four coronavirus-related fatalities since last Wednesday, Nov. 11, including a 51-year-old, and a total of 265 deaths in Atlantic County and 7,613 cases of COVID-19 since the statistics started being recorded in March, according to the county Division of Public Health.
Daily statistics
Monday, Nov. 16: There were 63 cases among 34 males from 4 months old to 93 years old and 29 females from 3 to 97 years old.
Atlantic City and Galloway Township had nine cases each, Egg Harbor Township had eight, Hammonton had seven, Pleasantville had six, Hamilton Township had five, Northfield and Egg Harbor City had three each, Linwood, Somers Point, Ventnor and Mullica Township had two each and Margate, Weymouth Township and Buena Vista Township had one each.
Sunday, Nov. 15: There were 102 cases, including 53 among females from 2 to 90 years old and 49 among males from 8 to 65 years old.
Egg Harbor Township had 19 cases, Hamilton Township had 14, Hammonton had 12 and Atlantic City, Galloway Township and Pleasantville had nine each. Linwood had seven cases, Ventnor had five, Margate had four, Northfield, Absecon and Buena Vista Township had three each, and there was one each in Somers Point, Brigantine, Buena Borough, Egg Harbor City and Folsom.
Saturday, Nov. 14: There were 170 new cases reported – almost a quarter of them in Egg Harbor Township – and two fatalities attributed to COVID-19, a 51-year-old woman and an 82-year-old man, both from Pleasantville.
The cases, which were reported in 19 different Atlantic County communities, affected infants to senior citizens. Egg Harbor Township and Atlantic City have both topped 1,000 cases so far, with 1,110 and 1,011, respectively.
There were 91 cases among females from 3 months old to 87 years old and 79 males from 2 to 94 years old.
Egg Harbor Township had 40 of the cases, Galloway Township had 32, Atlantic City had 20, Pleasantville had 13 and Hamilton Township had 10. There were eight cases in Northfield, seven in Absecon, six in Egg Harbor City, five each in Margate and Hammonton, four each in Linwood, Somers Point, Ventnor and Brigantine.
Friday, Nov. 13: There were 96 new cases and one fatality attributed to COVID-19, a 76-year-old Galloway woman with pre-existing conditions.
Of the 96 cases, 50 were among males from 10 to 91 years of age and 46 among females from 8 to 68 years of age.
Egg Harbor Township had the most new cases with 24, followed by Galloway Township with 15, Atlantic City with 14 and Pleasantville with 10. There were eight cases in Hamilton Township, four each in Somers Point, Ventnor, Margate and Mullica Township, three in Linwood, two in Hamilton Township, and one each in Northfield, Absecon, Buena Vista Township and Folsom.
Thursday, Nov. 12: Atlantic County saw another 122 new cases, including 55 females from 1 year old to 89 and 67 males from 3 years old to 96.
Atlantic City reported 22 cases and Egg Harbor Township and Galloway Township has 19 each. Hammonton and Pleasantville each had 13 cases, Northfield had eight, Absecon, Buena Vista Township and Hamilton Township had four each, Linwood and Somers Point had three each.
Wednesday, Nov. 11: There were 121 new cases of the coronavirus and the 262nd fatality attributed to COVID-19, a 71-year-old Hamilton Township man with pre-existing conditions.
The new cases affected young children and the elderly. There were 62 cases among females from 1 year old to 84 and 59 cases among males from 1 year old to 74.
Atlantic City had 22 new cases, Egg Harbor Township had 19, Galloway Township had 16, Hamilton Township has 12 and Hammonton reported 11. Other new cases including seven in Northfield, five in each of Somers Point and Absecond; four each in Egg Harbor city and Pleasantville, three each in Ventnor, Margate and Buena Vista Township, two each in Brigantine and Mullica Township and one each in Linwood, Folsom and Corbin City.
