Harry V. Bakley, 77

Harry V. Bakley, 77, of Egg Harbor City, NJ formerly of Ocean City, NJ passed away April 19, 2022 in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa.

Born in Somers Point, NJ to the Everett and Estelle (nee Frazer) Bakley he graduated Ocean City High School class of 1962.  He attended Cape May Vocational Technical School for two years. 

 He served six years in the NJ National Guard.  Worked for Sears Roebuck Co. for 18 years and owned and operated, with his wife, Bakley’s Deli in Ocean City for many years.

He enjoyed vacationing in the Florida Keys. An avid bowler, enjoyed going to the pool in his community.

Survived by his wife of 58 years: Barbara (nee Grubb) Bakley, daughters: Holly Bakley, Sharon Bakley McCluskey, three grandchildren: Rebecca Washington, James Ruby, Richard Ruby and six great grandchildren.

Harry could be seen tending to his grass and planting flowers and veggies in his small garden or puttering around his yard.

His funeral service and interment will be held privately.

The family suggests contributions in his memory to either Atlantic City Rescue Mission or a Food Pantry of your choice.
