Somers Point man among 4 indicted in alleged drug ring

MAYS LANDING – An Atlantic County Grand Jury handed up an indictment against four individuals allegedly involved in a narcotics distribution ring for the distribution of crystal methamphetamine, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

The indictment was returned on Aug. 4, 2021, for the distribution of crystal methamphetamine and names the following individuals and the charges against them:

Frank Fattori, 40, of Somers Point

Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine over Five Ounces (1st degree)
Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine (3rd degree)

Alex Strickland, 35, of Monroeville (remains in custody at Atlantic County Justice Facility)

Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine (1st degree)
Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine (3rd degree)

Melvin Delcid-Carias, 52, of Egg Harbor Township

Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine (2nd degree)
Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine (3rd degree)

Kristen Schroeder, 47, of Atco

Distribution of Crystal Methamphetamine (2nd degree)
Possession of Crystal Methamphetamine (3rd degree)

Over the course of three months, January 2021 through March 2021, Fattori, Strickland, Delcid-Carias, and Schroeder allegedly were involved in a narcotics distribution ring in Atlantic County where on multiple occasions they sold quantities of crystal methamphetamine to an undercover police detective.  Over one pound of crystal methamphetamine was seized as a result of the investigation.

This is a cooperative investigation led by the Liberty Mid-Atlantic HIDTA Task Force, Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns, & Narcotics Unit and the Somers Point Police Department.  Chief Assistant Prosecutor Erik Bergman represents the state in the matter.

These charges are an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
