Pennsylvania man charged with burglary

SEA ISLE CITY – The Sea Isle City Police Department charged John George, 23, of Wallingford, Pa., with two counts of burglary third degree and two counts of theft fourth degree on Saturday, March 21.

On the evening of Friday, March 20, into early Saturday, March 21, the department investigated multiple vehicle burglaries and attempted vehicle burglaries in the area of 47th to 51st street in Sea Isle City.  A thorough investigation by patrol with support from the Detective Bureau led to identifying John George as the burglary suspect, the department reported.

On Wednesday, March 25, police said John George turned himself in to face charges.  He was processed and released on a summons with a pending court date.

“We want to thank the public for their assistance in this case,” the department said. “Further we want to reassure the public that even though there is a statewide quarantine in effect, the officers of the Sea Isle City Police Department are working hard to keep Sea Isle City safe. Anyone caught attempting to take advantage of our residents during the statewide quarantine will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.”
