Charles E. ‘Chick’ Kisby III, 87

Charles E. Kisby, III “Chick” 87, of Linwood, NJ passed away peacefully with his family by his side.

Born in Lower Township, NJ, adopted by the late Charles E., Jr. and Margaret S. (nee Hoffman) Kisby. He has been a longtime resident of Linwood, NJ. Chick was a graduate of Ocean City High School class of 1958.

He had served 4 years in the U. S. Army Reserves before his Honorable Discharge in 1964.

Chick had worked many years for NJ Bell as a Installer, Repairman and Supervisor in the Pleasantville and Atlantic City Offices. After retirement he and his late wife, Margaret, owned and operated an AMSOil dealership in Linwood, NJ. He also drove a School Bus for many years, lastly for Mainland Regional High School.

Chick was active in his community he was a Life member of the Linwood Volunteer Fire Company having served as Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief, Chief and Chaplain, Longtime member of Linwood Community Church, Life member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, Member of the Atlantic County Arson Task Force of the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office,

Director of the Linwood Office of Emergency Management and Fire Inspector for the City of Linwood, for over a decade.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his first wife: Margaret Ann (nee Storm) Kisby.

Surviving are his wife: Sandra Asimos, his children: Kenneth (Carol) Kisby, Linda (Pamela Werner) Kisby, Michele (Jay) Henry. Also surviving are five grandchildren, one great grandchild, sister: Margaret “Peggy” Doughty.

His viewing will be held Wednesday evening, August 5, 2026 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo, 644 South Shore Road, Palermo and Thursday morning August 6, 2026 from 10:00am until 12:00noon with the funeral service beginning at 12:00
