‘Fame, The Musical’ on stage at Music Pier this week

OCEAN CITY – This July, the spotlight shines on the next generation of performers as the Ocean City Theatre Company (OCTC) proudly presents “Fame The Musical,” featuring the talented students of OCTC’s High School Junior Company. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. July 17 and 18 at 7:30 p.m. at the historic Ocean City Music Pier. 
Based on the iconic film and television series, “Fame The Musical” is an electrifying celebration of ambition, creativity, and the pursuit of dreams. The story follows a group of students attending New York City’s renowned High School for the Performing Arts as they navigate the challenges of adolescence while pursuing careers in music, dance, drama, and the arts. Featuring the Academy Award-winning title song and an unforgettable score, “Fame” continues to inspire audiences around the world. 
OCTC’s High School Junior Company provides aspiring performers with a professional-level theatrical experience, offering rigorous training and performance opportunities in a supportive and inspiring environment. Through this program, students work alongside experienced directors, choreographers, music directors, and production staff while developing valuable artistic and life skills. 


Fame is a story about passion, perseverance, and finding your voice,” said Michael Hartman, artistic director of Ocean City Theatre Company. “Our High School Junior Company students have dedicated countless hours to bringing this powerful production to life, and audiences will be amazed by their talent, energy, and commitment. We are also excited to announce that this production will feature a live band!”
Tickets are $15 and are available at oceancitytheatrecompany.com. Audience members are encouraged to purchase tickets early and support the incredible young artists who make this production possible. Of note, this production does contain some adult themes.
