Application before the Ocean City Zoning Board of Adjustment

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at 6:00 pm, a hearing will be held at the Council Chambers of the City of Ocean City on the Third Floor of City Hall located at 861 Asbury Avenue, Ocean City, New Jersey, 08226, before the Ocean City Zoning Board of Adjustment in the matter of the application by John A. McCann and Kathleen M. McCann Irrevocable Trust regarding the property located at 621 Battersea Road, Block 70.31, Lot 1.  The property is located in the R-1 zone. The Applicant seeks to construct a new front porch.   The Applicant requires a variance for a rear yard setback as well as a building coverage variance on this non-conforming small sized lot.  The Applicant seeks variance relief pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:55D-70 c(1) or c(2) for the variance.  The Applicant also seeks any other approvals. variances or waivers to permit the project.  When the matter is called, you may appear either in person, or by attorney, and present any support or objection which you may have to the granting of the relief or approval sought in the petition. Maps and other documents relating to this matter will be available at least ten (10) days prior to the meeting date for inspection during normal working hours in the office of the Board Secretary, 115 12th Street, Henry Knight Building, Ocean City, New Jersey, 08226.
