Doo Dah Parade marches on

Ocean City’s spring season kicked into high gear April 12 with the annual Doo Dah Parade, which marched south down Asbury Avenue to 12th Street and then up to the boardwalk, where it turned north to the Music Pier. The procession featured marching bands, floats and a brigade of basset hounds, their ears flapping in the cold, wet breeze. Former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Tommy Greene was the grand marshal. Greene pitched for the Phillies from 1990 to 1995, posting a 16-4 record during the team’s memorable run to the World Series in 1993. He also played for the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros during his career.
